There were three ravens sat on a tree, They were as black as they might be.

The one of them said to his mate, 'Where shall we our breakefast take?' 'Downe in yonder greene field,

There lies a knight slain under his shield. 'His hounds they lie downe at his feete,

So well they can their master keepe. 'His haukes they flie so eagerly,

There's no fowle dare come him nie.' Downe there comes a fallow doe,

As great with yong as she might goe. She lift up his bloudy hed, And kist his wounds that were so red. She got him up upon her backe,

And carried him to earthen lake. She buried him before the prime, She was dead herselfe ere even-song time.

God send every gentleman, Such haukes, such hounds, and such a leman. ~The Three Ravens~ Old English Ballad

I find a tea ritual soothing and comforting. When I perform a ritual task that calms and steadies my mind I can better commune with my gods. Preparing the tea, boiling the water, steeping, pouring, setting the tray, are all elements of the ritual. These simple movements, when done with meditative intention, begin to transcend the mundane task of just "making tea".

For the Morrigan I wanted a strong tea, something bold. This blend begins with a Black Ceylon Orange Pekoe base, then herbs of Juniper, Mugwort and Coltsfoot are blended in, for Badb, Macha and Anu respectively.

Next hand milled cinnamon, clove and orange peel are devoutly added. This tea was crafted on a Dark Moon night on Mars day in the hour of Mars, a time and day for victories. Brew this tea to honor the Morrigan, during rituals invoking her and as an offering to her.
